Building Monopoly is an adaptation of the classic board game where your goal is to own as many properties as you can in the same city, buying and trading with other players if necessary. Or, similarly, your goal is to have a monopoly of all the real estate in the city.

The mechanics of the game will feel familiar to anyone who has played the board game version. Each turn is simple: first throw two dice and, depending on the number that comes up, you move that number of spaces. If you land on a free space, you can buy it using your funds, but if you land on a space owned by another player if you will have to pay them.

The game is also played in a similar way to the Monopoly board game. You have to go around the city buying and selling properties, negotiating with other players and, of course, sometimes going to jail. The game only ends when all players but one are bankrupt. That player, the one that still has money, is the winner.

In Building Monopoly you can play on your own against one or a number of opponents controlled by AI, as well online, against people from all over the world. You can also unlock loads of additional content like avatars, pieces, color schemes and even new cities. In the beginning you only have access to the New York board, but you will also be able to play in Paris.
